Easter Activity

Looking for a simple, fun, and festive Easter activity to do in the classroom? We’ve got you covered! This cut-out Easter basket craft is the perfect hands-on project to get your tamariki excited for the season.

The worksheet includes a sweet Easter basket design that children can colour in with their favourite bright pastels or bold tones. Once they're happy with their masterpiece, they can carefully cut it out, fold along the dotted lines, and glue it together to create their very own Easter basket!

Whether you use it as a decorative item or fill it with paper eggs, fluffy chicks, or Easter messages, it’s a great way to build creativity and fine motor skills—all while having some Easter fun.

What you'll need:

  • Crayons, colouring pencils, or markers

  • Safety scissors

  • Glue stick

  • Your Easter spirit!

This activity is ideal for early years and primary classrooms, and it can easily be adapted for different age groups by encouraging kids to personalise their baskets with stickers, their names, or their own drawings.

Let us know how your Easter baskets turn out—we’d love to see your classroom creations!
