Technology Teacher – Full-Time, Permanent Position (Starting Term 2, 2025)

We are a high-performing secondary school with a commitment to providing every student with the opportunity to excel. We are seeking a dedicated and innovative Technology teacher to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Design Technology department.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an educator who is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and learning. We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and beginning teachers looking to establish their careers in a supportive environment, with access to a bespoke mentoring program for provisionally certified teachers.

Our Design Technology department is well-resourced, featuring facilities for 3D printing, CNC routing, laser cutting, and fully equipped workshops and design studios to support a wide range of student projects. We are also excited about the upcoming construction of a new innovative learning centre, set to commence in 2025.

Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:

• Bring a genuine enthusiasm for emerging technologies such as CAD and CAM.
• Ideally have experience teaching vocational subjects such as construction or engineering.
• Be familiar with or have experience in the NCEA qualifications framework (or equivalent).
• Hold a teaching diploma and teacher registration.
• Be legally eligible to work in New Zealand.
• Demonstrate a collaborative and constructive work style.

Remuneration:
The role is covered under the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement (CA), with salaries determined by the Ministry of Education based on qualifications and experience. Annual remuneration ranges from $61,329.00 to $103,086.00.
