English Teacher – Full-Time, Permanent Position (Start date negotiable)

This central Wellington school is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative English Teacher to join their English learning area. You will have proven experience working with students across all year levels. This opportunity may attract a management unit for the right candidate.
About the Role: You will be delivering English to senior students, and you may also have the chance to engage in cross curricular teaching in the Junior programme. Familiarity with the NCEA qualifications framework or its equivalent is preferred.
Both experienced and beginning teachers are encouraged to apply. The school offers a supportive environment with a quality advice and guidance program for provisionally certified teachers.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Delivering high-quality teaching and learning in English.
Utilisation of ICT in the classroom to enhance learning outcomes.
Collaboration within the English learning area and across other learning areas to meet crosscurricular goals and participation in professional learning communities.
You Should Apply if:
You are a qualified classroom teacher who holds, or are eligible for, a teacher registration in New Zealand.
You have experience working in a similar teaching environment, focused on girls education.
You are a specialist English or Social Sciences teacher, or have a qualification major in English.
Additional Information: This is a permanent, full-time role starting as soon as possible. The position offers competitive remuneration under the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement, ranging from $61,329 to $103,086 annually, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
