Free accommodation is provided for the successful applicant.

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and proactive EOTC Teacher to join our dynamic team. As a trained teacher with a background in outdoor education, adventure education, or EOTC, you will lead and design engaging outdoor education activities focused on developing essential life skills like teamwork, resilience, and personal growth. Your role will inspire students to step outside their comfort zone, helping them embrace new challenges while creating unforgettable memories.

You will work closely with our director, whose focus will be on education for sustainability, while your role will centre around outdoor education activities. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact on our students' lives.

The Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for a passionate, energetic, and flexible teacher who thrives in a collaborative environment and values working alongside a diverse team. You will bring a sense of humour and integrity to your practice, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. This role is perfect for someone who is not bound by traditional working hours but is dedicated to creating a meaningful, hands-on educational experience for students.

We value candidates who are self-starters, conscientious, and demonstrate common sense and initiative in their approach. If you believe in fostering student agency and encouraging students to take ownership of their world, this role is for you.

Who Should Apply:
  • Teachers already in New Zealand or those with registration in progress are preferred.
  • Applicants must be passionate about outdoor education, EOTC, and adventure-based learning.
  • Candidates who are enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to helping students develop valuable life skills will excel in this role.
Additional Information:
  • This is a permanent, full-time position starting 28th April (Term 2).
  • Competitive remuneration under the Primary Teachers’ Collective Agreement, ranging from $61,329 to $103,086 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
  • Free accommodation is provided on-site.
  • Accredited Employer status means we can accept applications from teachers who are not yet in New Zealand.
