Key responsibilities:
- Lead a collaborative and innovative science department, teaching subjects including biology, chemistry, and physics.
- Develop and implement cutting-edge teaching strategies that inspire curiosity and creativity.
- Champion student achievement and wellbeing, with a focus on culturally responsive practices, especially for our ākonga Māori.
- Empower the professional growth of kaiako through leadership, coaching, mentoring and professional development.
- Foster a love of Science beyond the classroom!!
What we’re looking for:
- A qualified and registered science teacher with proven leadership experience.
- A commitment to honoring Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Māori achieving as Māori.
- Strong knowledge of the New Zealand Curriculum and NCEA standards.
- A creative-thinker with a passion for science education and a commitment to inspire students and staff alike.
