Special Education Teacher - Wellington

Prospero Teaching are seeking Special Education Teachers for primary and secondary schools, including special character schools.

In this role, you will support students across a variety of spectrums and programs. Your responsibilities will include catering to students with academic learning needs, behavioural challenges, physical and social barriers, and other special educational requirements.

• Expertise in developing individualised education plans (IEPs) to cater to the unique needs of each student

• Adaptability and creativity in teaching methods to engage and inspire students with diverse learning needs

Role: Special Education Teacher
Locations: Wellington
Opportunities for: Fixed term and full time

To be successful, we are looking for teachers with:

• A Level 7 Education Qualification in Primary/Secondary and/or NZQA-approved qualifications
• Have experience in special education
• Have experience working with external agencies to support the needs of students
• Current NZ Teachers Registration
• Able to start in in either term three or term four 2024 OR term one 2025
