Our staff are our superpower at this Auckland special school. We provide an incredibly nurturing and dynamic learning environment for our 370+ neuro-diverse learners, aged 5–21 years, in the base school, satellite units in 13 mainstream schools and a community programme for 18-21 year olds.
Our vision is ‘Together, learning to live our best lives’ and our values are ‘Kia Māia/Courageous and Kia Hono/Connected’. Our 300 team of educators, therapists, specialists and teacher aides work together in a multi-disciplinary approach to meet the individual needs of every learner, with personalised learning programmes.
You will be joining a highly skilled and deeply committed teaching team who value every individual young person, encourages their progress, celebrates their achievements and inspires confidence in their futures. We aren’t concerned if you haven’t had experience in a specialist school environment before because what we are looking for most of all is a positive “can do” attitude, a passion for working with neuro-diverse learners and a desire to make a real impact for learners. The rest can be learned on the job with the help of our experienced, supportive and collegial staff.
This position commences in term 1 2025, or as negotiated. The school is an accredited employer for immigration purposes.
Applications from overseas teachers with appropriate experience and current NZ teacher registration are welcomed.
