Secondary education in New Zealand goes from Year 9 to Year 13 and to students aged 13 to 18 years old. The curriculum includes core subjects like English, Maths, and Science, as well as specialty courses like technology, sports, art and ESOL.

Most Secondary Schools will follow the NCEA examination standard from year 11-13 with other schools that follow the Cambridge and International Baccalaureate.
