Mātauranga Motuhake / Special Education

Special education focuses on meeting the unique needs of students with additional learning needs. Students have a range of physical or intellectual disabilities. This includes personalised teaching approaches, integrating students into mainstream curriculum when appropriate, and providing structured environments that support their individual learning requirements.  

We recruit teachers for various special education roles, both in special schools, mainstream and alternative education.  These experienced teachers cover roles as varied as Learning Support Coordinators or SENCOs, ORS teachers, classroom teachers in  a specialist classroom environment, or outreach/transition coordinators.

We also provide specialist therapists within a special education context; Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Therapists/Pathologists, Art/Music Therapists, Behaviour Specialists and Educational Psychologists.
