ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Prospero Teaching are seeking a Information Technology to join a large, Ofsted “Good”, mixed, secondary school in the Stevenage starting September 2020.

Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.

THE INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT:
The Information Technology Department follows Information and Communication Technology BTEC National Level 2
Extended Certificate – equivalent to one A Level
The department is made up of 2 teachers and is supported by technicians.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE LOCATION OF THIS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TEACHING ROLE:
This Information Computer Technology teaching post is open to UK trained and Overseas Trained teachers.
Stevenage is located 26 min on the over ground train into Central London
Stevenage is South of Cambridge and North of London in the county of Hertfordshire.
Luton Airport is the nearest airport and is a 20 min drive
Stansted airport is a 40 min journey – international airport

CONTRACT DETAILS OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TEACHING JOB:
Duration – 1 YEAR MINIMUM
Type of work – Information Technology teaching post
Contract or position start date – September 2020
Duration / Likely Duration – 1 year ideally
Contract or position end date: (contract may get extended)
Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Long Term/Permanent
Full time/part-time – Full time, 5 days a week Mon- Friday
Minimum rate £150 per day (negotiable)
Hours – 8:30 am – 4pm, plus parents evenings
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Ed /PGCE/ QTS or equivalent teaching degree
Solid teaching background
Extensive knowledge of the National Curriculum
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY TEACHING JOB THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold Right to Work in the UK
Be able to work a minimum of 5 FULL days Monday – Friday
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online updates service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references
