About the Centre:

You will be warmly welcomed into our client centre, where you will meet passionate and experienced early childhood teachers. The centre is uniquely designed, offering learning areas that are tailored for age-appropriate experiences. Children here have the opportunity to participate in both physical and imaginative play. The outdoor play spaces are thoughtfully equipped with wet-weather areas, ensuring that children can freely engage in outdoor activities and explore their creativity throughout the entire centre.

The centre also provides specialised support for preschool-aged children through a custom transition-to-school programme. This programme assists both children and their families (whānau) as they prepare for the exciting next phase of their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team of dedicated teachers
• Oversee the daily operations of the centre and ensure that it meets all regulatory requirements
• Develop and implement strategies that support the centre’s growth and development
• Build strong relationships with children, parents, and staff
• Monitor and evaluate the performance of the centre and make recommendations for improvement
• Ensure that the centre is a safe and nurturing environment for children

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• A recognised Level 7 early childhood qualification and current NZ Teachers Registration
• Comply with the Children’s Act 2014 compliance requirements
• Previous leadership experience
• Eager to support and motivate a team of teachers
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• A strong understanding of the regulatory requirements for early childhood education
• Commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education
• Have NZ working rights and be based in NZ
