ECE Centre Director - Wellington

Prospero Teaching are seeking a leader who is looking to take that next step in their career. We currently have a vacancy for a Centre Director in Kilbirnie, Wellington.

Our client centre supports a large community within Wellington, catering for children from infancy right through to their transition to school.
You will be welcomed into a nurturing, warm and loving centre, and working alongside passionate and experienced teachers.
You will be working with a multicultural team who are committed to providing inclusive and quality care for Tamariki and value the importance of making sure the centres environment and atmosphere provides children and whanau that home away from home feel.

ABOUT THE CENTRE/ ROLE:

• Relocation Grant
• 100 tamariki on the role
• Age specific rooms
• Purpose built centre
• Full time position
• Role: Centre Director

WHAT THEY ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Ability to positively engage with staff, and the wider community
• A true passion for Early Childhood Education
• Effective communication skills with a proactive outlook and an ability to always maintain professionalism
• Independent and able to manage time effectively
• Familiar with early childhood policies and regulations
• Have previous experience as a centre manager or is a strong leader
• Eager to lead and support a team
• We would love to hear from you if you have leadership experience and are eager to lead and support a team of passionate and dedicated kaiako

BEFORE JOINING THE TEAM:

• Hold a Level 7 Education Qualification in Early Childhood or Primary, and/or NZQA approved qualifications
• Hold registration with the NZ Teachers Council
• Comply with the Children's Act 2014 compliance requirements
