Graduate Early Childhood Teachers ECT / Working towards

Prospero Teaching are calling all graduate Early Childhood Teachers who are seeking their first permanent role within the Early Childhood Sector. We work alongside a variety of long day care centres across New South Wales including family-owned centres, not-for-profit settings and preschool centres attached to Primary Schools.

We are looking for newly graduate Early Childhood Teachers and/or Working towards their degree who are ready to step into an exciting new role!

The Role

Your duties and responsibilities as a Graduate Early Childhood Teacher will include:

• Plan and implement a quality program that reflects EYLF
• Develop open communication with educators, children and families
• Facilitate children’s play through weaving the children’s emerging interests with professional expertise
• Organise routines throughout the day and implement indoor and outdoor programs to respond to the needs of individual children
• Create indoor and outdoor learning environments that provide the children with opportunities to explore, experiment, create, take risks and play
• Provide physical care, assisting children in daily routines and mealtimes
• Conduct observation and evaluation of children’s development
• Maintain up-to-date records for each child within the group
• Respond to the emotional needs of the children
• Comply with policies and procedures along with licensing, legislation and regulations
• Create a stimulating, positive and engaging environment to support children’s development
• Support and learn from other educators, manage own time efficiently along with the daily routines and daily requirements of the room and children in their care
• Be extremely pro-active and use own initiative
• Have excellent communication skills

About You

• Successfully completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education / Graduate Diploma or close to completion
• Strong knowledge of the EYLF and National Quality standards
• Completed practical placements with children aged 0 – 5
• Early Childhood Degree / or equivalent recognised by ACECQA
• First aid / CPR / Asthma and Anaphylaxis training and current certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Current Working with Children Check
• Current child protection training
