This privately owned Early Childhood Centre is exceptional, as it has been rated ‘Exceeding’ in all 58 elements across seven areas since March 2017. The centre caters for 55 children aged 0-5, providing them with a place to learn, grow, and develop into confident, compassionate young individuals. The staff members are highly qualified and committed to providing the best possible learning experiences for each child. The curriculum is designed to be adaptable to the needs and interests of each child, with an emphasis on play-based learning, social and emotional development, and building foundational skills.

About the role

Prospero Teaching are seeking an experienced educator to join their leadership team as an Educational Leader in the Preschool Room.

• To ensure children’s wellbeing, learning needs and interests are addressed through a high quality education
• Meet and Greet families, children and visitors at the service
• Working with a wonderful team at the Preschool you will be responsible for planning and implementing the educational program which values a holistic view of each child’s development.
• Maintain ongoing records of the children’s development, program and daily information.
• Assisting with the Educational program on and off the floor
• Assuring the high quality of services in consideration of the National Quality Standards.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant Government Regulations
• Assist on the floor when required
• Build trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Skills and experience 

• A diploma or Bachelor in Early Childhood Education & Care; (NEW Grad ECT’s or WT ECT accepted
• Current Child Protection, First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis
• As an educational leader the ability to plan, implement and evaluate early childhood programs as required by the EYLF;
• Sound understanding of National Education and Care Services
• Regulation;
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
• Working with Children Check number
