School Counsellor

Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated School Counsellor to join one of our partner schools’ Wellbeing Teams, commencing in Term 3 or Term 4 of 2024.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide counselling support to students experiencing mental health, developmental, and other learning or wellbeing issues.
• Collaborate with staff and parents to address students’ needs.
• Develop and implement programs that enhance student wellbeing.
• Manage a large and diverse caseload effectively.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Full registration as a psychologist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a psychologist.
• Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents.
• Proven ability to manage a large and diverse caseload.
• Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with a diverse team and work independently.
