Prospero Teaching are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated educator to join the team at a centre situated within Sydney Corporate Park in Alexandria. This early childhood centre is committed to providing the best resources, equipment, and educational materials to ensure a high-quality learning environment for children.

About the role

As an Educator at this centre, you will be working in the Preschool Room with children aged 4 -5. Main responsibilities will include:

• Creating a safe and engaging learning environment: Be responsible for setting up the classroom in a way that encourages exploration and learning. Maintain a safe environment that is conducive to play, discovery, and growth.

• Collaborating with colleagues: Collaborate with other educators, support staff, and administrators to ensure the smooth running of the preschool program. Share ideas, resources, and support each other in creating a positive learning environment.

• Assessing and documenting children’s progress: Observe and assess children’s development and learning through daily interactions, play, and formal assessments. Document children’s progress and communicate with parents about their child’s growth and development.

You must

• Hold a Certificate 3 or Diploma in Early Childhood Education or working towards (or ACECQA equivalent)
• WVH welcome to apply
• Current Child Protection, First Aid, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificate (or willingness to obtain
• Experience working with infants in an Early Childhood setting
• Sound understanding of National Education and Care Services
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Working with Children Check number
• 2 professional references from most recent employer
