About the centre

This Award-Wining services have been well known in the community for over 14 years and are proud of their excellent local reputation. As a privately run service they offer a more personal service to families and currently have five fantastic locations throughout the Camden/Picton/Appin and Campbelltown areas. It is fully self-catered and endeavours to create strong community links within the beautiful region. The centres are proudly Early Childhood Teacher owned and operated by busy local mums. They are both dedicated to providing an educational approach to traditional child care & have a shared passion for teaching.

About the role

Prospero teaching are seeking an experienced diploma trained Room Leader to support and lead in the Baby Room. Main duties will include:

• Creating and implementing age-appropriate activities for infants in the room
• Providing a safe and nurturing environment for the babies
• Leading and supervising a team of educators in the room
• Conducting regular assessments and observations of each child’s development
• Communicating effectively with parents about their child’s progress
• Ensuring that all policies and procedures are being followed in the room
• Collaborating with the Centre Director and other staff members to ensure the overall success of the centre
• Participating in professional development opportunities to continue to enhance skills and knowledge in early childhood education

About You

Currently residing in Australia and hold a valid VISA with working rights

Diploma in ECE (or an ACECQA equivalent)

Room Leader experience highly desired

A genuine passion for working with infants

First aid / CPR / Child protection / Asthma and Anaphylaxis training and current certification (or willingness to obtain)

Current Working with Children Check

Experience working in the Baby Room is highly desired
