Full time ECE position - Auckland

Prospero Teaching is currently seeking a qualified + registered early childhood teacher to join our client centre in North Shore, Auckland.

Our client centre prioritises building strong connections and partnerships with children and their whānau. They value the input of whānau and actively listen to their aspirations, ensuring that the planning and curriculum provided by teachers enhance the development of each child.

As the successful candidate, you will be working in a nurturing environment that offers unhurried care moments and tuakana teina, while allowing children to work at their own pace. The centre caters to children from infancy through to their transition to school, with a strong focus on nutrition and active movement.

We are looking for a passionate Early Childhood Teacher who can engage positively with children, parents, staff, and the wider community. You will be working with a passionate team that fosters a strong team culture. The experienced director/manager will support you in your teaching journey.

To be considered for this role, you must have easy access to transportation, a true passion for Early Childhood Education, and a commitment to working collaboratively with whānau to ensure that they feel heard, appreciated, and welcome. You should possess effective communication skills, maintain professionalism, and have a proactive outlook.

BEFORE JOINING THE TEAM:

• Hold a Level 7 Education Qualification in Early Childhood or Primary, and/or NZQA approved qualifications (if qualified) – Or about to complete your qualification (3rd year student)
• Current NZ Teachers Registration (if qualified)
• Comply with the Children’s Act 2014 compliance requirements
